# How to read a record — Irish companies dissolved in 2025 and 2026

> What the record is, what the status means, and what is left out.

## How to read these records

### Which companies

Companies whose status in the CRO open file is “Dissolved”, with a dissolution date in 2025 or 2026 and last
accounts made up to a date in 2021 or later. Companies dissolved after a merger are on a
 separate site . Health-care companies and companies
named after a person are left out.

### After dissolution

Whatever a dissolved company still owned passes to the State. The company can be restored to the register,
usually within a few years.

### What is not here

Names of directors or any individual. Street addresses. Older dissolutions.

**Former director of a company listed here?**

The internal data of a company that employed 50 people or more (Slack or Microsoft Teams archive, documentation, project histories) may still have value after it has stopped operating.
